Fixed dentures are essentially a row of artificial teeth that you can’t remove. They are connected to a framework that is held in place by implants, allowing you to chew, bite, and eat food without worrying if your teeth will slip and move in the process. They also allow you to talk and smile without feeling self-conscious.

Removable dentures can often be wobbly and may not fit as well as you would like them to. One of the great things about fixed dentures with implants is that they are a great solution for people who don’t want to use special adhesives or creams to hold removable dentures in place throughout the day.

If you have lost teeth to gum disease or some other dental problem and are thinking about getting some dentures, you should consider getting fixed dentures with implants as they are more comfortable, fit better than those you can remove, they are long-lasting, and are much easier to maintain.

What are the benefits of fixed dentures with implants?

There are many benefits to getting fixed dentures with implants. One of the main reasons people choose these over removable dentures is that they are placed in your mouth permanently so they won’t come out. Some traditional dentures can cause steady bone loss, but when you get fixed dentures they prevent this from happening.

A lot of people who wear removable dentures are concerned that they may wobble and slip out of place throughout the day when they talk to people, or when they eat and have to chew and bite on food, it can be uncomfortable not knowing if they will move out of place. By having fixed dentures with implants, it eliminates the risk of this happening so you can talk and eat properly and comfortably knowing this won’t happen.

Another benefit of these types of dentures is that they are sturdy and long-lasting so you don’t have to worry about any further dental treatment for years to come. They are also easy to maintain, meaning you don’t have to take them out to clean and you can brush them as you would with your own teeth. Fixed dentures with implants are often custom-made in our in-house denture lab, so they will fit your mouth precisely therefore making them the perfect choice of dentures for you.

The process of fixed dentures with implants

When you are getting fixed dentures with implants fitted, an experienced dental professional will give you an oral examination which will then be followed by a scan of your jawbone to help determine where the implants will sit. The implants are usually placed with two in the anterior region and a further two implants in the back of the jawbone. As your jawbone begins to heal, it grows around the implant which helps secure it in place. Once your jawbone is completely healed, your dentist can attach the permanent dentures to the implants.
